Ask specific questions
“Pet-friendly” is not a promise that every product or treatment is harmless. Ask what will be used, where it will be applied, whether pets need to leave, and what must happen before they return. Follow the product label and the instructions for the actual service; there is no single waiting period that fits every treatment. Mention aquariums, cages, food bowls, bedding and outdoor runs. Ask what needs moving or protecting rather than assuming another household's instructions apply to yours. Keep pets away from pesticide containers, traps and bait stations. Separate property treatment from pet care For fleas or ticks on an animal, speak with your veterinarian about a suitable product. A treatment intended for a room, lawn or different animal should not be used on your pet. Property work and veterinary care may need to be coordinated. Between visits, store pet food securely, clean feeding areas and address spills and leaks. These are useful maintenance steps; they are not a substitute for identifying recurring activity. Use Request service or call (201) 798-0087. Describe the pest concern and the pets at the property so we can discuss preparation before work is scheduled.
